Urgent Cases
How can you tell when a medical issue needs immediate attention? Urgent care refers to cases that need fast action, but are not necessarily (or immediately) life threatening. Here are a few examples of urgent cases that require fast veterinary intervention:
- Severe wounds (especially when actively bleeding)
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- Heatstroke
- Seizures
- Severe allergic reactions (including swelling, hives, or anaphylaxis)

Emergent Cases
While we are equipped to handle a variety of emergent cases, some emergencies are better handled in full-service emergency hospitals. Please call before coming in with any urgent or emergent cases to ensure we can handle them quickly. If we do not have the capability, we will direct you to the closest emergency hospital for help.
